As pictured in a previous post, we have a little, stray cat darkening our doorway. We are of half a mind to adopt the little thing but it is still a bit scared although it is enjoying the dry food we set out for it. It is my daughter's hobby, now, to quietly peek out the window to check on the cat.
After a day of this little visitor, my daughter was quietly peering through the parted shades to see if our little friend had shown up for lunch. She saw it sitting across from the bowl of food, which was odd as it only came to eat. She glanced down at the food bowl . . . and there is a black cat chomping away! The mixed breed Siamese cat, who was there first, isn't too happy about having to share the free food.
Yesterday, my daughter is at the window and exclaims, "Mom! There is a third cat out there!" She said it was cream-colored and fluffy. I insisted that it must be the Siamese mix cat and she replied that it could only be if it could stand beside it's self.
Meanwhile, Chick, our dog, is not happy about the attention we are giving to the side window and would certainly like to know what we are looking at. Me, I'm not about to adopt three cats so Chick can rest easy on that score!
