It is always interesting to think back on one's party efforts and this time, I remember to take a picture! The first shows the table set and ready for company and the next one shows it in action!
As you can see, we had a happy Thanksgiving and are grateful for the gifts of friendship and food. We also pray that the coming year will show improvements in our country and world, provide us with politicians of moral values and character, and respect for all people, born and unborn.
A place to share ideas on making a comfortable home. I do it through quilting, being faithful to my Faith, and caring for my family. Being a Catholic, sewing, and baking cookies are a few of my favorite things. I'm open to discussion!

Everyone Needs a Friend!
Marcella, the cat, gets lonely at times. She was raised with two siblings and enjoyed the wrestling and snuggling with them. We had an old stuffed toy on a shelf and, one day, Marcella dragged it down. The best thing about the toy? It will purr, 'breathe, and meow if you pat it. Marcella quickly learned how to do this and now they are fast friends. We actually purchased the toy for my older daughter one Christmas as a joke and her one remark was, "What is the use of that?" Now we know! :-)
The Cat, the Guardian Angel, and the Fish!
It's better than television! Whenever we wonder where the cat had gotten to, we can usually locate her watching her favorite program on the fish tank. Not sure if the angel is watching over the cat or the fish.
The funny thing is the fish actually comes to see the cat when he notices he has a visitor. When the cat gets tired of crouching by the fish tank, she hops over on my daughter's bed and observes from there until she falls asleep. A picture is worth a thousand words from a mother. My daughter took one look and said, "Time to clean the fish tank, again, and dust!
