Comforting thought . . .

Tolerance is only for the entitled and liberal . . .

Last week, a conservative radio talk show host said that there would probable be some 'unrest' if the election was close and Romney won. Today, the tweets, etc., are more threatening and, from the context of the statements, may people are threatening to riot and riot big if Romney is elected because they know he will take away their food stamps. Should we wait for the president to step up to the plate and urge peace and tranquility and abide by our Democratic system? Afraid that is probably not going to happen given his previous stands which never includes Christian values or conservatives.

According to a news report, people praying outside the White House were arrested. They were peaceful and . . . praying! Our ambassador is killed overseas, and the administration bends over backwards to not directly include the real factions that carried out this murder. The Catholics want their amendment rights upheld and the president is forcing us to pay into the abortion and contraception system even though it goes against our moral structure and the precepts of our Faith.

Now, the liberal voters threaten to hurt and destroy any and everything that gets in their way if the election doesn't go their way. What would they think if the conservatives had started riots in 2008? But, we didn't because that's the way the votes went for the election. Why don't Republicans/Conservatives deserve the same consideration?

Election years used to be exciting times as we listened to all the points raised and defended on both sides. Arguments were raised but not usually with the animosity exhibited this last year. Opposition parties pushed the envelope but, basically, kept to stretching the truth about each other and didn't engage in outright untruths. The media, in years long gone by now, would happily report all these goings on in the interest of giving the public information. These days, I've stopped listening to all the usual network news channels because I get so sick and tired of them either omitting important facts, distorting the events, or disrespecting the side they dislike with unfounded 'facts'. I always thought good journalism and reporting was to present the facts letting the public decide. These days, they present the facts as they see them and make disparaging remarks about people who don't fall in line with them.

Was a time when the news system protected the people from the government. Now, to all intents and purposes, the majority of them seem to have been 'bought' by the politicians. At least, that's the way they report it!

So, who is going to be a man and stand up to this threat of rioting if the vote doesn't go their way? The president? Probably not as he will be pleased that he has a following no matter how vindictive, uninformed, and mean. The media? Definitely not as news is news and they will have a great day reporting any possible death and destruction and extolling the virtues of the entitled who are fighting to lay claim to what they want as their own. And we all know that the riots are just a cover up for rioters to plunder private homes and businesses. If you stopped most of them and asked why the riot, they probably wouldn't know because they just see a chance to steal without immediate retribution from the law.

What a wonderful example this would present to the world as the greatest nation on earth resorts to violence, as do so many third world countries, when people don't get what they want, when they want, and how they want it. Don't they realize that the more they destroy, the less they will have? Businesses and work promote prosperity. Food stamps, excessive welfare, and entitlement promotions end up in disaster if they feel they are losing a single penny of 'free' money.

Tolerance? It is not for the people who exercise their right to vote the way they want to in the election.
