A Quilting Afternoon . . .

I've set myself an hour or two about three days a week to concentrate on finishing up projects. It seems that once I put time restraints into place, I work faster and get more done! The Lady of Guadeloupe quilt sort of happened. I had twelve squares left from another project, noticed some fabric that accented the prints, and just kept adding to it. I finished the top of the quilt, today, but won't get it sandwiched into getting ready for the actual quilting stitches until next week. The fan quilt turned out better than I anticipated. My husband, however, says the pattern makes his eyes tired. As you can see from one of the middle pictures, I already have fabric out in anticipation of a new idea that is perculating in my brain.

Did he have to say that . . . ?

I was checking out my purchases at Costco this morning. It was a major shopping venture so the trip had been long, busy, and hectic. As the cashier was totalling up my bill, the young man boxing my groceries, etc. remarked, "How are you today?"

I replied, "Fine . . . because I'm done with my shopping!"

He replied, "Well, not quite. Now, you have to go home and put it all away."

I considered, "And this evening, yank some of it out to cook dinner, put the leftovers away, plan the next meal, clean up after cooking the stuff I just purchased . . ."

The young man looked a bit shocked and apologized, "Sorry! Didn't mean to depress you!"

Actually, I was just joking but hoped that I provided some young lady belonging to that young man with some help this evening as it seem to be a revelation to him how much was involved in making a meal.

10 Terrible Provisions of Obamacare . . .

Just in case you are of the minority who really think that a national healthcare plan for the United States is a good idea . . . Did you know that all this was included in the obamacare bill? Seems like a lot is being sneaked past the American people.

All good one, especially the second one . . .

Excellent reminder . . .!

To pray against temptation, and yet rush into occasions, is to thrust your fingers into the fire, and then pray they might not be burnt.

Appropriate prayer for today's world . . .

Hi Lord, its me.

We are getting older and things are getting bad here. Gas prices are too high, no jobs, food and heating costs too high. I know some have taken you out of our schools, government and even Christmas, but Lord, I'm asking you to come back and re-bless America. We really need you! There are more of us who want you than those who don't!

Thank You Lord, I Love you.

Faith shouldn't have a place in our lives . . .?

I've been posting my concerns about the government interference into our religion and beliefs. Seems every country in the world should be aware that they are not exempt. In fact, according to this article, the United States is only in the beginning of Christian persecution. Many other countries have freedom of religion and, subsequently, freedom of speech very much forbidden in their lives. If the United States doesn't totally wake up soon, we could face jail time for our freedom to diagree. What kind of government does that provide?
