A place to share ideas on making a comfortable home. I do it through quilting, being faithful to my Faith, and caring for my family. Being a Catholic, sewing, and baking cookies are a few of my favorite things. I'm open to discussion!

Scrappy Quilt
This was a really off the wall quilt I made a couple of years ago. It is comprised of nothing but two-inch by six-inch strips of fabric sewn together randomly with no attention to color, pattern, etc. I thought it was kind of a failure as it was so crazy but my son instantly took to it and uses it to cuddle under when the weather is cold and he wants to watch television. Our sofa is dark green so it looks pretty good against it. Everyone has grown very fond of this quilt over the years and like to point out bits of fabric that remind them of a dress I made for them and such. Got me to thinking about how memories end up in something made out of fabric and lots and lots of stitches.
