I like just about every fruit or vegetable that has crossed my path. I do, however, have some absolute favorites . . . probably because many of them only make an appearance during particular seasons. I was cutting into one of my top choices for a snack and was taken with how pretty it looks. This one only shows up in the Fall and I look forward to it every year. Can you tell what it is?There are a lot of recipes using this fruit but since it only shows up for a short time each year, I have yet to get tired of them and prefer to eat them out of hand rather than disguise them in cookie dough or cake batter!
