Computer literate cat?

I thought it was bad enough trying to work around a kitten looking for a comfortable place to be but this evening, she discovered the cursor on the screen. It was impossible to work as every time that little arrow moved, Marcela jumped at it. She has now been placed in protective custody of my daughter.

Mission Accomplished!

As usual, when you finally get to working on a project, you find out that it was only about five minutes work left on it. Two quilting seams and my wolf quilt was completed. I discovered the fabric a few weeks ago and had a great time trying to keep the wolves masculine yet use great colors. It is a little wild but, then, so are wolves.

Pad see ew . . . Huh?

Okay, so what is pad see ew? Just a nifty stir-fry meal often ordered from street vendors in Bangkok . . . not that I have ever had that opportunity but when I found a recipe for it in my latest issue of Cook's Illustrated, I just had to take up the challenge and try it. As always, the recipe was straightforward and easy to follow as long as I didn't try and get ahead of myself. My only worry was the rice noodles as previous attempts with them in other recipes were never perfect. Turns out that like all products, you have to make sure you get a reliable brand. I finished off the meal with more Asian flair and had Lychee fruit. Fortunately for me, I'm the only one who likes this funny little fruit.
